What will we know?
We will know who owns and operates the LLC. We are required to maintain this information. Rest assured we will never voluntarily disclose these details. Not to other companies and not to the government. We are an advocate for your right to privacy. Further, because you are a client of ours, all our communications and case files are covered by attorney-client privilege. Unlike other providers who could divulge your information if they wished to, it would be a crime for us to do so. This provides an extra layer of protection.
What does the federal government know?
For foreigners, your government will know nothing unless you tell them. Wyoming LLCs are often referred to as the new offshore capital for investment activities. Your dealings remain private and a foreign agency would have to go through a tremendous amount of effort to secure a subpoena in Wyoming. For exact disclosure and reporting requirements in your country you should contact a tax or legal professional in that area. We are unable to advise on the intricacies of, for example, Indian tax law.
For U.S. citizens the situation is somewhat different. Owner and officer information is known only by us. As mentioned, we will never disclose this information as this would be a violation of attorney-client privilege. When you go to obtain your EIN, however, some personally identifying information must be given to the IRS. This is either another EIN or a SSN. Some people prefer to use our nominee service here. This is so our information appears with the IRS instead of theirs. In such cases, though, we require additional documentation from our clients. This is to ensure we know who we are doing business with.
We are more than happy to assist you with making the lives of your creditors difficult. We don't care to pick a fight with the United States government. They have more reach and resources than anyone we know combined. In short, Wyoming LLCs allow complete privacy. Nobody other than us will know who owns and operates the company. This should not, however, be taken as carte blance to pick a fight with the government. Just remember the old adage about death and taxes.
